The challenging butter prawn with egg floss

Bismillah, so today as always, my "wanna cook" syndrome come again. In conjunction with my dad birthday few days back, I tried to cook his favourite dish as a birthday present since i think he has it all, which this dish is i can say quite difficult. It's actually a famous dish in chinese muslim restaurant.


So what do you need for the egg floss?
Patience. Speed. Gentleness.

Ingredients:
+yellow egg yolk only (about 6)
+butter
+oil (don't use olive oil, because when it mix with butter, the oil will turn to brownish colour)

So basically all u need to do is heat up the wok, with oil and butter in it, and then when the butter already melt, stir the oil gently yet fast in and pour in the yellow egg yolk bit by bit, like a string (the thickness). Keep stir and stir until you can see the foam is forming (a lot), then when you feel the egg already goldish in colour and many foam already form, then filter it till the foam gone. never press the floss, just filter it gently. Then wallah! you can see your egg floss. but just make sure if you want to cook 6 egg yolks at a time, make sure to use a bigger wok. But anyhow try first to do this, its quite challenging for me, because i only succeed to make one after 5 trials. Never give up.

Next is the butter prawn itself.

Ingredients:
+prawns
+butter
+curry leaves
+salt
+green chilli
+sliced garlic

Heat up the butter and oil and thrown in the green chilli and sliced garlic. Then, put in the prawns and and curry leaves and salt. Then, just cook it until the prawn is ready.

Mix the cooked prawn and egg floss in the serving plate and don't forget to add bits of sugar and salt. To make sure, u know how it taste, it should taste a lil sweet and salty. That's what you'll taste from the restaurant.
