The glimpse of Paradise.

Bismillah, another travelogue write up.

Well, can u guess any country which can amazingly define the title above? Tik Tok the clock strikes one. Tik Tok and the clock strike twelve. Hehe.

The answer is,.... jeng jeng jeng. The Kiwis country. *awesome*

The saying is true, new zealand has the best view ever. If you like nature, green things and ocean, it is a must go place!

I spent my summer break in north island for awhile, and it was the best day in my life, i gotta tell you. The feeling is amazing, the adrenaline, the excitement to see sunset and sunrise is truly, enthusiastic.
Well, we took the 8 hours flight from KUL to SYD. And rush for AUCK in around 4 hours. Imagine, no showering in one day. haha. Thats why for traveller, its important to bring the toiletries around in the hand luggage. But always remember all hand carry liquid must be less than 100 ml in a transparent bag. So i arrived the auckland airport around 5 pm, through jetstar flight (aussie's budget airlines) it took about 5 hours i think. Plus the time zone is different. New Zealand is 2 hours ahead than Australia. Since my dad had already rent a car, so in no time, we were heading to Hamilton, (down to the south). But before we start the long drive, we were searching for the mosque nearby to perform our zuhr and asar prayer. And since we tried to walk around the neighbourhood near the airpot and for quite a time, we decided to just pray at the gas station because the maghrib will be coming in no time.

Pray, no matter where you are.

Alhamdulillah, luckily the gas station has a small cafe that sells halal fried chicken. We were like, finally food!!! A proper meal at last. Thus, we are fuel up for the adventure! Subhana ALLAH during the long journey, we took picture of sunrise and the nature, the she eps, the cows. Everything is beautiful masha ALLAH.

SubhanALLAH.

Gorgeous. Then, we stopped by a small town call Huntly. Well, the place remind me of Radiator Spring in Cars movie.
Huntly City.

Then, we directly went to our hotel at Camelot at Ulster. Simple but very much comfortable. I love it. It may not be 5 stars hotel, but Alhamdulillah, the facilities are amazing. Then, the next morning we were rushing for Hobiton trip in Matamata, one hour drive from our hotel.

Trying to re-enact the scene where frodo runs in the beginning.

It was stunning! The grass and hills, the sheeps and trees. It is so peaceful (though the sun is blazing on the head, but the cold wind chilled down the body). Its a golden experience for me, to actually walk down through the shire, and the lake, and the hobbit holes, beautiful scenes to behold. The work is so fine, that it looks like a real home. It felt so lively with all the props around, i wish i was a happy hobbit, wandering around the shire. It is amazing how the Hobbits team made the house small and big, to make the actors appeared big and small.

Then, with the tummy growling for food, we took a bite on the subway restaurant nearby but only dare to choose seafood and tuna.

Then, we went to Rotoroa, a very much heaven place. Well, if you like me, who likes to sea very big lake, very big as ocean but then, you can see the other side, you would love this place. Hop on the gondola and make a way to the uphill. It is must scene when you reach new zealand.

A jaw dropping view i must say. There are many fun activities i would say, as hill biking, luge, and many more extreme activities. Well, kiwis love sports. It cost about 150 new zealand dollar for the gondola and 8 rides of luge. What is luge? it is similar like sledge but not on snow, but they also have small tires. So the steep of the hill will help the luge to accelerate. Honestly, you cannot even let one of your hand go off the handle because thats how you control the direction, but seriously, its very long journey down the hill, and if you keep doing it, your hand will hurt because the road is not smooth, so the vibration is hurtful, haha. Deal with it.

Headgear checked!

Next, we went nearby to the lake to take some pictures and we found some hot spring there, which is quite fun. Rotoroa means long lake in Maori.

Mesmerizing view of the lake <3

Thermal area nearby the lake.
Very famous place for fishing indeed. Don't get the wrong idea, the lake is chill water but the spring around is incredibly hot. So they don't fish in the hot spring ok :-p  SubhanAllah amazing right? Plus, its a beautiful town :) When we stopped by at the gas station, we found a guy with a dead deer at the back of his car. We were like so curious of it and keep staring him. But i guess, in New Zealand the hunting licenses is very common as in USA. One more thing, what you should not be surprised when you reached New Zealand is that, many of them walking barefoot. Im not sure whether it's Maori people culture or not, but even some white people don't wear it. :)

After grabbing some kebab at the near restaurant in Hamilton, which i find, the sauce is really tasteful! Garlic plus yogurt plus i don't know, my mom choose it, and it taste really good with lamb, and i keep repeating asking for the sauce. Very much first time to find yogurt is tasty with lamb. And please do look forward with lamb in NZ, because its cheaper than the chicken! Wohoo!

The next day, we went to our friends house in Hamilton, its quite fun to visit a Kiwis house :) The food is plenty and I'm happy to find a halal sausage there. Hehe. Before we went to Auckland City, we stopped by at the berries farm to experience some picking. Fun, and delicious.

Here is the signboard farm if you want to pay a visit :)

Pick and pluck.

Oh which part of NZ is not fun?
Then, we stopped by a botanical garden to experience the beautiful nature closely. Its the maze garden! Yeay!!!! Something that we always watch in the movie aye? Very beautiful maintained garden with four different themes of region. Of course, we would choose the English Garden aye.

Something rare, am i right? SubhanALLAH
Mom posed.

Purrrfecttt setting :)

Photoshoot is preferable in this gorgeous botanical garden.

we go straight to the city using waze, since my dad prefers us travelling on our own without tour package. As i woke up, we are in front of the Auckland University!

Welcome to the city people!
